Guest at "Bundeswehr"

Most race car drivers are no friends of airfield circuits. Although Emanuele Pirro is no exception, he does enjoy the particular challenges of circuit on the military airfield of Wunstorf, near Hannover.

A Good Airfield Circuit

It requires constant concentration to drive consistently fast laps as most turns are hard to oversee. When one can hardly make out where the asphalt ends and the green starts, it becomes very difficult to pick a good approach and judge the right time to break.

Best Race 1996

Emanuele considers his victory of 1996 as his best performance of the season. But don't expect Pirro to rest on his laurels. To those who'll visit this year, he recommends a seat in the hairpin bend, right after the Start/Finish line.
