Emanuele Pirro finished 6th after 78 laps on the monegasic street course. This was his second and last point finish in Formula 1.

Later in '91 in Australia he was 3rd, when an accident happend and the race was stopped with the red flag, for classification the positions of the penultimate lap are taken, unfortunatly he was only 7th on this lap.
