Effective January 1st, 2003 Ferrari’s German network of 24 authorized dealerships was
expanded by one franchise: Thomas Sportwagen Ltd. of Radebeul near Dresden has
become the first authorized Ferrari dealer in former East Germany (German Democratic
Republic) some twelve years after the German reunification in October of 1990. The

Audi has won the Sebring 12 Hour race for a fourth time in a row. Infineon Team Joest
and Team ADT Champion Racing battled with their Audi R8 sportscars for the entire 12
hour distance. While the “American” R8 was leading most of the race, Infineon Team
Joest was luckier when a caution period and an unscheduled pitstop of Champion
Racing helped the German team to take the lead just 90 minutes from the end and
finally victory. Frank Biela/Philipp Peter/Marco Werner finished just 13.493s ahead of JJ
Lehto/Stefan Johansson/Emanuele Pirro. |
An action-packed first round of the 2003 FIA GT Championship saw the "new kids on the

hard fact: The 3rd Concours d'Elegance at Schloss Schwetzingen must be recognized
as a true competitor to similar events at Lake Como in Italy and the world-famous

some of the all-time favourites in automobile history surrounded by normally long lost -

from all over the world were in Italy and many of them choose to attend the 53rd edition
at Monza. Monza is about passion and history, about high speeds and inevitably high
risks that caused fatal for Ferrari drivers Wolfgang von Trips and Alberto Ascari among
many unfortunate others. Nowadays the steep banking is no longer in use and chicanes
were introduced, but Monza, situated in a lovely park, is still among the fastest and most

Freisinger Motorsport have taken the chequered flag in the 2003 running of the Proximus
24 Hours of Spa, round 6 of the FIA GT Championship. The Porsche 996 GT3-RS of
Ortelli, Lieb and Dumas completed 479 laps of the circuit in the 24 hours, finishing 8
laps ahead of the nr 22 BMS Scuderia Italia Ferrari 550 Maranello, with the nr 72 Seikel
Porsche third. BMS have taken an unassailable lead in the GT Teams Classification,
