In 1959, the first 3500 Spyder made its debut at the Turin Auto Show. In 1960,
Carrozziera Vignale introduced a 3500 spyder on a shortened chassis, a design strongly
influenced by the Coupé of Touring. The Vignale spyder is very attractive when viewed

At the Geneva motor show Fiat presented a little sensation to the amazed experts. A
two-seater with an 8-cylinder V-engine with 2 litres displacement and high road
performance as well as modernest aerodynamic conception. Out of the 114 specimen
40 pieces had been built by Fiat body making. However very soon the most important
Italian body workers adopted the Fiat 8V-chassis. While Pininfarina paneled an 8V with a
body work in 1955, Ghia produced a series of 50 Coupés. Vignale mounted five or six
samples, all showing a different shape. Even a convertible was manufactured. This car
left initially the factory with the standard Rapi body. In 1956 this chassis was coachbuilt

Introduced for the first time at the Turin Exhibition in 1965, the Bizzarrini 5300 GT features
a Chevrolet V 8-cylinder engine with 5354 ccm. Aerodynamically efficient it was a true
supercar with a maximum speed declared of 280 Km/h. Although the Bizzarrini 5300 GT
and the Iso Grifo are similar in appearance, both being coachbuilt by Bertone and using
the same engine and monocoque style chassis frame, there are considerable detail
differences. This Iso has more luxurious fittings in an all-steel bodywork, whereas the
