On Tuesday and Wednesday in the Olympic stadium in Beijing (China)
the Race of Champions is held – a competition between the world’s
best racing and rally drivers. The two Audi ‘factory’ drivers Tom
Kristensen and Mattias Ekström, who has already won the Race of
Champions twice in 2006 in Paris and 2007 in London, compete once
again. Furthermore, the Audi drivers form Team Scandinavia in the

Laguna Seca ALMS will be my last race with an Audi
prototype. The agreement to end this part of my
career together with the R10 TDI was taken a long
time ago with Dr. Ullrich as Audi is preparing their
future with a new generation of drivers. A wonderful
chapter of my life and career comes to an end. It is
time to turn the page. Now I have to deal with my

For AUDI, July 16, 2009 is a memorable day: on that
day exactly 100 years ago, automotive pioneer
August Horch founded August Horch Automobilwerke
GmbH in Zwickau, Germany. A short time later he
renamed the company after the Latin translation of
his last name – making it Audi Automobilwerke. The
